Wilfred Buck is an Ininiw (Cree) Elder, star lore expert, author and engaging storyteller who has designed an amazing inflatable planetarium to assist in sharing teachings about the stars and constellations from an Indigenous perspective. You can learn more about Wilfred (and purchase his books!) here: https://acakwuskwun.com/
Wilfred will be presenting to students at the Green Valley Middle School in Grunthal in the afternoon of Wednesday, November 1, and then from 4:00 - 4:30pm and 4:30 - 5:00pm there will be planetarium sessions for the public.
This event is free to attend thanks to a grant to the Gerhard E. Dekker Regenerative Education Center from 'Healthy Together Now' - Southern Health/Santé Sud.
All ages are welcome to attend! Please ensure that younger participants can sit and listen for 25 minutes. Each 25 minute session can fit 30 people inside the dome.
Registration is likely to fill up fast! Please know that registering entails a commitment to attend. If you find you can't make it, please notify us as soon as possible in advance via info@gerhardcenter.org so we can give those spots to those on the waitlist.

This is an awesome opportunity to learn more about our incredible natural world through the teachings connected to the stars and constellations, as seen and understood from this part of Turtle Island, from an expert in the field!
