1:00pm to 3:00pm
This is a lovely, winding trail along the Seine River, through a dense riparian wood.
We will meet at the trailhead near the parking lot beginning at 12:45 pm.
Circle games and a sensory scavenger hunt will be at 1:00 pm, and we will set out on our walk by 1:15 pm.
The whole walk will take about 2 hours, with some stops along the way (for nature appreciation, scavenger hunt activities, and spontaneous play!).
We will gather at the end of the trail around 2:00 pm for reflections on our journey and a closing circle.
- Bring water and a snack
- Dress for the weather - insulated boots with good grip, layers for heat regulation, a waterproof shell, and a moisture wicking base layer are highly recommended.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Accessibility notes ~ This trail is narrow and usually snow packed in winter. It is mostly flat with some inclines and declines. It is shared use, so we will need to watch out for bicycles!
Note: This Amisk Trail is in La Barriere MB, just South of Winnipeg, not to be confused with the trail in the Whiteshell of the same name (Amisk means beaver in Nehiyawewin/Cree).
