Keely is a lover of nature, art, writing, and all things Forest School. Her respect for the land and passion for the outdoors began at a young age, growing up on a sustainably-operated herb farm in BC in a family with deep agricultural roots.
After completing a BA in English and French at the University of Winnipeg, Keely spent several years working in elementary schools in rural Quebec and rural Manitoba, promoting and celebrating both official languages. She then returned to BC to join her family's agri-tourism business, Okanagan Lavender & Herb Farm. Over the next six years, she gained extensive experience working in tourism, marketing, content creation and brand identity; a skill set she is excited to bring to the GEDREC team.
In 2022, Keely and her young family relocated to the RM of Hanover where they have been able to embrace a slower pace of life. Keely now spends her days reading storybooks, building cardboard box trains, and exploring the beautiful outdoors (rain, snow or shine!) with her two kids.
