Saturday, October 25th, Blind Creek Trail, Steinbach
Everyone is welcome! Nature lovers, if you haven't been here yet, we know you will love this hidden gem in Steinbach! It is really remarkable, with very old trees full of character, and the creek at its most jubilant. The benefits of natural areas like this one, which is filled with bird song and host to so much life, are immeasurable for the health and well being of human communities. It is hard to believe Walmart and the Clearspring Centre are just a stones throw away!
So let's care for and get better acquainted with the amazing Blind Creek Trail!
We will have supplies for you to use, including garbage bags and grabbers, as well as snacks, a welcome table, and a nature based art station and nature exploration gear for you and the kids to enjoy!

The school is really beginning to flow and flourish! We have many returning students this fall, as well as some great new friends, and the groups are already gelling and getting along so well.
We are so grateful for the Manitoba Government and its From the Ground Up funding, which has enabled us to offer bursaries to 5 families already, and to launch and run this program.
We continue to add educational elements to the program, always balancing with the kids' self directed learning. We have introduced biome dioramas, nature journaling with integrated botany lessons, new crafts and woodworking projects, First Aid learning and personal kit development including herbal First Aid elements, some great new sense based games, and there is more to come! (We will be having fires very soon, and, on student request, learning how to light them without a lighter or matches!).
The Coyotes cohort at the La Broquerie location is almost fully enrolled for the year, with one full seat and one half seat, alternating weeks, remaining. We are so excited to find out who the last two students will be!
At the Skipperlings location in Stuartburn, we have 5 students enrolled currently, and 7 seats remaining. Due to lower enrollment at this location, we have changed to every second week on Tuesdays. This makes tuition very affordable, and this location has so much that is really special about it! The kids are eager for more friends, so if you are on the fence, we encourage you to take the leap!
Visit our website to find out more and enroll your child.
We are considering various possible offerings on the alternate weeks at the prairie, including a nature stay and play or family forest school where parents could stay on site with their kids and learn and play together with us all as well! This may make sense for families who are traveling from farther away. If this idea appeals to you, please let us know by reaching out via email or filling out our short survey.
